My name is Ela and I come from the island of Losinj (Croatia). After graduating from the graphics faculty in Croatia, I went to cold but friendly Norway. I lived there for several years, since the climate is extremely cold, I tried to travel to warmer regions as often as possible (its just that the cold and I didn’t manage to function in the long run). After Norway, I moved to Italy with my partner who is originally from Bologna. My passion is history, good food and the beauties of nature. Bologna literally covers all the areas that interest me. Otherwise, in my spare time hike, do yoga, take photos and have a small garden. I speak Croatian, English and Italian fluently, I can add that my Norwegian is at a very high level. Since I lived for several years in a couple of EU countries, I learned various skills and sharpened my language skills.
How did I enter the world of tour guiding? I grew up on an island, so as a student I worked seasonal jobs in a hotel (in my hometown), and I always worked at the reception and talked to people and gave them a lot of information about what to visit or what to try (they always came back satisfied and asked me for new ideas and tips). After several years, I decided to work as a tourist guide (then I worked for a company where I took people to taste food that is typical for a certain city). My love for discovering new places and telling stories grew day by day. Likewise, wherever I went, I wanted to have a local guide to get to know the city I was in as well as possible. After moving to Italy, I had a training session in the Lazio district that the Ministry of Tourism of Italy sent me to, and after I finished the training, I finally became a national guide in Italy. Discovering new places and food is my passion, now I can finally enjoy it.
