Why is Bologna called the greasy city (Bologna La Grassa)? You will get the answer to these and other much more interesting facts in the 2 hours I will spend with you in the center of Bologna! We will talk about the history of the city, the food that is a big part of the culture and the general lifestyle of people from Bologna. This is the best way to get to know the city.
What we will see and do:
We will meet at Cavour Square, which looks like a small park 😊
From there we will start to discover the Imperial University of Bologna (since it is the oldest university in Europe), then we will go towards the Archiginnasio (which was a university from the 16th to the 19th century).
Tour of the first Galluzzi tower, which has its own secrets.
The main square (Piazza Maggiore), we will discover what surrounds us.
Quadrilatero area (which used to be a large market where food was traded) – we will get to know the food that comes from this area of Italy.
Departure to the oldest basilica in the city (Santo Stefano). We will discover some more legends related to the city and we will end the tour near the 2 towers that are the symbol of Bologna.
